ما هیچ اختیاری دراینکه کجا به دنیا بیاییم و در چه خانواده ای بدنیا بیاییم. فامیل و بستگانمان چه کسانی باشند و معلممان چه کسی باشد و چه ژنهایی را از پدر و مادرمان و اجدادمان به ارث برده باشیم نداریم. با این همه در کلاسهای دینی وقتی میپرسیم اگر خدا میداند ما چه راهی را میرویم پس چرا دوباره ما را امتحان میکند؟ در جواب میگویند چون به ما حق انتخاب آزاد (اختیار) داده است.
We do not have any choice where we are meant to be born, in which family we are meant to be born, who will be our relatives, who will be our teachers, and which genetic characteristics we are going to inherit from our parents and ancestors, nonetheless when we ask in our religious classes at school that why God wants to try us while he knows what we are going to do, they answer that because he has given us the Free Will.
